Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself (2002)

Synopsis: Two brothers, one with suicidal tendencies and the other a serious man that tries to help his brother, meet a single mother through their bookshop.
Appraisal: I liked the emotional density of this film, and that the story is like an ironic parable on life. Also, it is well directed and acted, and most scenes have a natural, spontaneous feel. Its weak points are on the details, I guess. Children that speak and act like adults, for instance. One would think, from recent films, that filmmakers were born adults, because they have no clue about how a child thinks and behaves. Also, the character of the nurse is frankly absurd, without necessarily being funny.
