"Sex and the City" (1998): Season 1

Synopsis: The sexual adventures of four female friends in New York City.
Appraisal: A charming series, well written and with excellent performances. It showed some signs of fatigue by the end of the season though, and that is why I decided to take a break, or quit altogether. This is an eminently static show, with emphasis on what characters say and how they look, but no real action. This is no demerit of course, it is the nature of the show. I liked how each episode chose a theme and developed it in various situations according to each character's personality. Maybe the following seasons are also good, but it seems like sex in the city is not such an inexhaustible subject, and they pretty much covered the main topics in these first 12 episodes.
