Shanghaied (1915)

Synopsis: A shipowner plans to blow his ship in order to collect the insurance money. The film follows the funny occurrences inside this ship at sea.
Appraisal: This short comedy is a bit irregular, containing some unfunny parts along with other parts that are funnier. The scenes of the rocking boat, with everyone being tossed about while trying not to, are quite well staged. Its main attraction of course is the lead actor and his amazing corporal expression.
