Kingpin (1996)

Synopsis: A former bowling champion sees in an Amish amateur player his chance at big bucks.
Appraisal: Imaginative, consistently funny, with inventive visual gags, in short this is a successful comedy. It is also an influential film, playing with excess and shock in a way that has been imitated by many but was only equaled by these directors themselves. The comic skill of the two leading actors contributed significantly to the success of the movie.
