Marie-Jo et ses 2 amours (2002)

Synopsis: Married woman has a lover.
Appraisal: This is one of those slow films that take the viewer's attention for granted. This comment applies to all films that I saw by this overrated director. The acting is competent, but despite the slow pace there is no real character development here. I for one could not describe any one character of this film in terms of personality. So, if it is not a character study, what is it? In retrospect it looks like a moral tale, but I am not sure if that was the intention. Anyway, it is less than engaging.
