The Munsters: Knock Wood, Here Comes Charlie (1964) (TV)

Synopsis [spoilers]: Herman's twin brother Charlie comes to visit the Munsters; he brings a device which he claims can extract uranium from sea water; he wants to sell it to Lily. It's all a fraud. Herman doesn't like his brother, so he locks the money inherited from grandma in a vault. Grandpa tests the machine and concludes it doesn't work, but he thinks it's because he has broken it, so he fixes it. Charlie, unaware of that, sells it to the widow who lives next door; he pretends to be Herman. Herman is worried about the Munsters' good name and buys the machine back. When Charlie hears it has been fixed, he tries to buy it back from the widow, but it's too late, Herman has already done that. He then pretends to feel conscience qualms about having tried to dupe the Munsters, and wishes to buy it back from Herman; Herman believes he is regenerated and sells him the machine. Charlie goes away with the machine, then Grandpa shows up and tells everyone it has been fixed, and Herman feels duped. Grandpa adds that nevertheless the machine is highly unstable, and they were better off without it. Then they hear an explosion coming from the street: the machine exploded when Charlie was demonstrating it to the person he owed money to.

Saw it dubbed in Portuguese.
