Synopsis: An IRA member who is being hunted by the police comes to U.S.A. to buy missiles; he plans to take them to Northern Ireland by boat. He stays at the house of a cop who is a friend of a Republic-sympathizer judge's.
Appraisal: Everyone has their reasons here, and the process of reparation of injustice often becomes a big bloody mess. The underlying theme appears to be the seduction of weaponry, both big and small. I am not sure this is really what the filmmaker had in mind, though; the storyline is a bit prolix and feels rather unfocused. It's a bleak film, at any rate.
