The Munsters: Just Another Pretty Face (1966) (TV)

Synopsis [spoilers]: Herman plays with Grandpa's laboratory equipment and is struck by an electrical arc; as a result his face becomes identical to Fred Gwynne's without the make-up; everyone is disgusted at his "horrible" new appearance. Grandpa tries a new experiment to give him back his old face and succeeds but with a terrible side effect: Herman is turned into a woman! She goes out of the house and it starts to rain; she is struck by lightning and as a result goes back to being a man.

Saw it dubbed in Portuguese.

Hehe, I love this episode. Probably my favourite one.

I'm intrigued by your preference by this episode, as it is just an excuse for showing the main actor's unmade-up face. It's far from being the best one; this show has some really elaborate episodes which deserve this honor far more. Anyway, congratulations on your page; it's alway nice to see a devoted fan.

Thanks for visiting my Fred site. :-)

It's my favourite one *because* they showed him without the make-up. I always like the unusual moments in shows or movies. Things that are out-of-character. Such as the one with Herman's twin brother Charlie, or the one where they go to stay at the property Herman purchased from a magazine (because it shows them away from their usual home).

Hi, Lisa. Thanks for the follow-up; I somehow guessed your reason for liking this episode.
