Synopsis [spoilers]: Herman is promoted to driver of the funeral car. He must renew his driver's license in order to get the job. He takes the tests but fails twice. Grandpa suggests he go to a small town where it is easier to obtain a license. They go to Groverville; the official who is responsible for the concession of licenses is very myopic and thinks Herman and Grandpa are a couple looking for
a marriage license; after he is corrected, he submits Herman to a very perfunctory succession of tests and then gives him the license. Herman is promoted, but is disappointed: initially he is given the horse carriage to drive.
