Fletch Lives (1989)

Synopsis: Fletch, a reporter, inherits a Southern property. He quits his job and moves South. He is received by his attorney Amanda; he goes to bed with her and she is dead in the morning. He is arrested and then released, with the help of another attorney. He begins investigating Amanda's death. An evangelist who is planning to build a second theme park on the region is one of his suspects. A corporation who is dumping toxic waste in the neighborhood is another.

Appraisal: Enjoyable but uneven; interesting elements can be found both in the plot and in the individual sequences, if you can withstand the less funny bits.
