Appraisal: This is an interesting film, dealing with a reality that is very American, and foreign audiences (like me) may have some trouble relating deeply with it. Another characteristic of it, and I will not say "problem" because I am not sure it is a problem although it does not meet with my personal tastes, is some tendency to verborrhagia and over-intellectualization. I think it exceeds in smartness by the same amount that it lacks in sincerity.
