Family Life (1971/I)

Rating: 100

I have written this mini-review on April 17, 1987. It was translated from the Portuguese for publication here.

From David Mercer I had already seen 'Providence' and an adaptation of Ibsen's 'A Doll's House'. The title of the present film perfectly tells what his favorite subject is in all of them. 'Family Life' is absolutely neurotic and almost unbearable; a merciless film, but on the other hand necessary, very necessary.
