The Milagro Beanfield War (1988)

Synopsis: The farmers at the small town of Milagro face their demise due to the opposition of a giant company that wants to build a resort in their town. A movement to oppose that starts. 

Appraisal: Rather uninvolving and lacking strong characters, this is a pretty forgettable film. Although tackling important social issues, it is unexciting and prosaic, thus failing to engage the viewer in its crusade. Note: I saw it on a Brazilian dubbed version.
